2 Stories 1 Place : Tasik Kenyir

zOOm in zOOm out. Perghhh! I love to travel. But I don’t have a chance to travel. I mean, travel that really travel with friends or alone. Travel around Malaysia?? Yes I do visit all the countries in Malaysia, but not all places that are really interesting.. Hahaha..okay, which area you want me to story?? What kind of story?? Island? Beach? Jungle? Or lake?? Hohohoo…
Okay. You all choose to hear about Tasik Kenyir. Isn’t it?? Hahaha…do you ever know, where is Tasik Kenyir located? It’s really bad if you ever don’t know it. Tasik Kenyir is located at Terengganu which is one of the made lake in Malaysia.

I already go there for twice. That’s why I wanna talk about this kind of awesome place. Hihihi …first time is when my classmates handle a program for fulfill an assignment of one of the subject in Diploma ( I can’t remember what is that subject!! Hehe…sorry Mdm Maisarah .. wink wink )..and for the second time is when my family organize a family day there.. So, let’s ZOOMMMMMMM!!!

My family and I stay at Warisan Pahlawan Resort, which is 15 minutes from dam of Tasik Kenyir. There are two gates to enter Tasik Kenyir either via Pengkalan Gawi or via Taman Negara. I never enter via Taman Negara, so I don’t know how it was is. My family use a houseboat which can afford 40 peoples (kids and adults), really fun!! Kids stay at the down side of the boat because we can control them wisely.. My sisters and I sit at the side of the boat and put our legs at the water.. perghh!!! It’s soooo cold!!! We enjoy it damn much! The houseboat is suitable for those who want to overnight because it is provide a kitchen and toilet. PLUPP! That shit just throw like that from toilet into the water! oh no!! then, the fish  will eat that and unfortunately people fishing there..HAHAHA…fuhh! We all never use that toilet.

Our stop point is at Lasir Waterfall. Here, for two hours we are relaxing and swimming together happily. Hehehe ..For kid’s area, there is a small place that is shallow. So they also can enjoy bathing. To go there, we must use stairs which are a long journey. So, for those who bring kids, you are being advice to ask your kids walk by them or otherwise your body tired because of carrying them. Hahaha! Don’t worry, there is also provided a cottage to take rest for a while and can eat food that we bring. After two hours, the houseboat come to pick us and round the lake to see what are this lake have and the journey is ended.

Alhamdulillah (^_^)
For second trip, a class of Diploma in Tourism Management (20 peoples) UiTM Dungun organize a trip to Tasik Kenyir with collaborate with 30 students of UiTM Shah Alam (Course Art and Design). We go there by 2 buses for 3 hours from Dungun to Pengkalan Gawi. We stay there for 3 days 2 nights. As we arrive at Pengkalan Gawi, we all ride 3 boats to go to camp site at a small island (no name) which take about one hour. Safely arrive, every group tent ups and the organizer (WE) are get ready to cook for dinner. At night, there is a free activity due to all people are too tired. Some of them are singing with playing guitar, playing games (box poisoned), fishing and also talking to each other. On the second night, we all having fun and enjoy eating BBQ and singing together. We all sharing stories and start to knowing to each other.

On the next day, we are brought to go around this made lake by boat. We have a chance to see the Orang Asli village, Lasir Waterfall, small islands and so on. One memorial that I never forget is by having a chance to drink and taste water of root wood (air akar kayu such as Tongkat Ali and Kacip Fatimah) Eeeeyucksss!! Hahaha.. Other than that, all of us go to a jungle trekking to deep pool of Kelah fish. Awesome!! There is so many Kelah at there. Again, a chance just come once, we fortunately can hold the Kelah by our hand and can put our legs into the water as a therapy massage from those Kelah. Fuhh!! This is so amazing! This might be a sweet memory together for students of tourism and students of photo.

Satisfied with travelling, all together start to prepare things to go back home. Before the program is ended, all of us snap picture together as a memory at Tasik Kenyir. Our program ended at Pengkalan Gawi before the buses going back to the different destination which are Dungun and Shah Alam.

Alhamdulillah (^_^)
